Jack Manningham and his wife Bella reside in a lovely home in foggy London, circa 1880. While it appears perfect, Bella begins to notice strange happenings, including the dimming of the gaslights at odd times in the home. Jack convinces Bella she is going slowly insane, but a perceptive police detective begins to investigate and finds that all is not as it seems.
