SESSION 1
4:30pm - 6:00pm ENSEMBLE and PRINCIPLE Roles
SESSION 2
6:00pm - 7:30pm ENSEMBLE and PRINCIPLE Roles
- Each Session will begin with Vocal Audition followed by Dance.
-Auditioning Age - 16 and Up
-Anyone under 18 must fill out the Parental Consent Form to
Audition
-All roles are open to performers.(non-Equity).
We are looking for a great team of singing, acting and dancing collaborators who are comfortable with musical comedy, physicality and ready to have a great time. All ethnicities and genders welcome and encouraged to come play with us! Looking for those who want to bring a great attitude, love of comedy and who are ready to be creative contributors. Ability to Tap is not mandatory, but is a plus! Bring your Tap Shoes if you have them!

SOMETHING ROTTEN CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
Ensemble
Seeking traditional dancers and quirky character types. Singers and dancers needed. Tap is a plus but not mandatory. Ensemble members also play various side characters throughout the show; Roles include: Minstrels, Townspeople, Actors Troupe, Man Servants, Crowd, Chorus, and more...
Minstrel
Male, mid 20s to 40s. Seeking a charismatic actor with a thousand faces. The Minstrel will not only sing the opening number, but also play various side characters throughout the show (BARITONE)

Nick Bottom
Lead
Male, mid 20s to late 40s. A struggling renaissance writer at the end of his rope. Nigel’s older brother. Incredibly jealous of the success of William Shakespeare and will do anything to beat him. Seeking a great comedic actor who sings, tap dance skills a plus. (Baritone)

Nigel Bottom
Male, mid 20s to 30s. Nick’s younger brother. A sweetly naive young writer and poet, perhaps a little awkward, nervous. He falls in love with Portia and ultimately finds confidence in himself through art and love.

Female, mid 20s to 40’s. Nick’s wife and “Right Hand Man”. She loves and supports him despite his questionable decision making and lack of success. Bea resorts to dressing up like a man to make ends meet and to prove to Nick she can be an actor. Seeking a comedic actress who sings very well. (Belter) (2nd Sop/Alto)
